Everything a bride must know, in one spot.

01. SKINCARE & BEAUTY TIMELINE

  • All facial treatments should be performed no sooner than 5 days prior to your event. We recommend the Signature Facial at Skinesthetics for your last pre-wedding treatment.

  • It is ideal to have a spray tan trial leading up to the wedding day. This will allow your esthetician to know exactly what color to use, and this will allow you to figure out ahead of time how long it lasts, and how it fades.

    Your wedding day tan should be done 2-3 days prior to the wedding.

    Skinesthetics’ formula is rinsed off with just warm water 1-3 hours after the spray, and you can shower as normal 24 hours after the spray.

    The tan lasts 5-7 days.

  • All facial waxing (brows, lip, sideburns, chin, etc) should be done no sooner than 7 days prior to the wedding. If you need to clean up any unwanted facial hair during the week of the wedding, please dermaplane, thread or tweeze.

  • All eyelash enhancements can be done up to 24 hours prior to your wedding day.

  • Neurotoxins, such as Botox, take up to 2 weeks to work. We recommend getting your first round of Botox ~4 months prior to the wedding. This will allow the nurse injector or physician to see how you react, and determine what number of units is necessary for your unique needs. Then, about 2 weeks prior to the wedding, we recommend getting your second round. By this time, your provider will know exactly the amount you need, and you will know exactly what to expect.

    Dermal fillers have an immediate result. Downtime after fillers is different from person to person. There is the possibility of swelling and bruising. We recommend having all dermal fillers done no sooner than 2 weeks prior to your wedding day.

    Cosmetic tattooing, such as microblading, should be done 3 months before the wedding day, and the second session (the touch-up) will be done right before the wedding date. Cosmetic tattooing needs a minimum of 2 weeks to heal before makeup is applied.
