Microblading, also known by a variety of names such as embroidery, microstroking, feather touch and 3D brows, is a form of permanent makeup; but unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and is considered semi-permanent. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine. The procedure is done by using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and each ‘hair’ is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrow and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over tweezed brows. Pigments used are chosen to match the natural or desired brow color and skin tone will also be taken into consideration.

Make sure to check if you are a candidate for permanent makeup/microblading.

Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing, is a technique that deposits pigment into the upper layer of skin providing a permanent alternative to wearing traditional cosmetics. Permanent makeup can last anywhere from 3-10 years, depending on aftercare and maintenance. Annual maintenance touch-ups are necessary to upkeep the tattoo appearance. Cosmetic tattooing is ideal for someone who does not want the hassle of applying makeup or has sensitive or allergic reactions to traditional cosmetic products.

It is also a good solution for:
• professional athletes
• patients with visual impairments, alopecia, or lost hair due to age or chemotherapy

Results imitate topically applied cosmetics. Every client is unique, therefore the design and amount of pigment used is determined during the consultation to ensure the best possible results. Tattoo pigments will soften after initial application. 2-3 touch ups may be needed for final desired look.

Make sure to check if you are a candidate for permanent makeup.

Lip tattooing is not for everyone. Those with severely sun damaged skin, chronic dry lips or a lot of deep wrinkles around the lips are not the optimal candidates. There are some distinct medical concerns and contraindications, so if you are interested in this procedure, we will perform an in-depth consultation to determine your candidacy for the process. People of color, with darker, heavily pigmented lips or a “liver color” are not good candidates. Ethnicity plays a large role in lip tone and determines your candidacy for a lip procedure. We are happy to consult with you to determine if lip color is a good choice for you.
